No, it is not mean to turn down a guy who is shorter than you because you have certain preferences in guys, however if you like him and still turn him down then that is mean you should give the guy a chance and not worrying about his height, if you really like him.

Not mean but could be considered shallow. Then again if you're not attracted to him for whatever reason then do it. The expectation is not to hurt the guy while turning him down. No sense giving him an inferiority complex in the process.

Yes, but unfortunately.. I couldn't date a guy who is shorter than I am. :P And this does not make me shallow. I'm 5'8 and I just would not be comfortable with a shorter guy.

To be honest, it is very mean. But if you think like a guy, it wouldn't be mean to them at all, cuz many a guy would turn down a girl even if she has a great personality, if she is too large or not as visually appealling to them.

not at all, it would be mean to lead him on then say hes too short for you or something similar to that. but if youre not attracted to guys who are shorter than you, then i dont see anything mean about it. he probably has turn offs too.

A bit shallow, perhaps, but it's only mean if you let him know that's the reason you turned him down. What he doesn't know won't hurt him.

i wouldnt say mean, id say more close minded, he couldve been the nicest guy in the world(or the richest if your as materialistic as you sound) and you shot him down...couldve been your chance at love, all im sayin is dont limit youself due to either stupid societal laws, or your own close minded convictions, open your eyes an dlook at eh worl around you.

no. I wouldn't go out with a chick taller than me.

Perhaps we both have shallow preferences, but we're not mean.

Yeah. It shouldn't be just his height. I should be another reason-like his attitude or something. he can't help being short. If you don't really like him, than find something else annoying-like bad grades, smokes or drinks. Something that HE can help. If you like him-then go out with him!:)

No, but give him a chance. What's it going to cost you? A free meal? You never know...he might be your love... if not. so what you had dinner with him.
