Why do girls hold farts back to the point of their stomach hurting when they are around guys? I used to do this until I met someone that I am comfortable with. We have been together for 6 years and I don't hold anything back anymore...lol

I think farting in front of other people should be avoided whether you're a guy or a girl, and no matter how well you know the person. I think it's just rude. Farts stink. I try to release them when I'm in the bathroom or by myself. If the gas is causing you pain, then that's taking politeness a little too far, but you should try to be respectful of other people and not fart around them. Just because you're close to someone doesn't mean they deserve less respect.

Guys or girls should leave the room, building or area if they need to release gas. How difficult is that? Have some courtesy, guys. I know some of you ba$tards even fart in elevators. It should be a crime punishable by having a red hot poker shoved up your butt.

I always wondered the same thing! I figure...if you're comfortable enough to have sex with someone, you should be comfortable enough to "pass gas" around them. But I've noticed guys are like this too. But everyone does it, and you shouldn't put yourself through the agony for nothing!

well your answer is there you got comfortable enough around you're guy just to let loose :P i've been with my guy long enough to do the same...but when girls meet guys they dont want to fart out loud it leaves a bad impression and embarresses the hell out of girls, so they just have to wait until they feel comfortable enough around the guy or guys to do that :P

maybe because they are not yet comfortable with the guy. But as the year pass by and you get along with him and become comfortable with him, then even the most gross things you can do with him there without any hesitation doing it -- well thats what i call love.. :)

For some reason, that is just another thing that is for some reason more socially acceptable for guys to do than girls...you know, like how they're allowed to adjust themselves in public, but heaven forbid we get a wedgie....or how they can pick and dig at their noses (EWWW!) but we get "off" looks for blowing our nose properly......
