All the girls I've liked I only started liking because they liked me. Why?

because boys think its "sissy" and "gay" to lower their "standards" or ego... and they don't want others to think they've become weak... ego, ego, ego... With a male ego like that, who needs enemies.

Guys aren't about the chase. For a man, his instinct tells him to spread his seed anywhere that it will be accepted. Therefor, any woman that shows interest is already receptive. He know's his chances of "planting his seed" are much higher in someone who has interest than someone who has not.
Women, on the other hand, instinctively find the best mate they can. Their goal is not to find as many as they can, but to find a select few, if not one, that they believe is a strong mate that will improve their lineage.
Keep in mind, all that is without any of the emotions or thought involved. It's just basic instinct. Women are far more selective then men are when it comes to potential mates.

Because even though things are changing, traditionally it was the guy that had to make the first move which made them the ones that risked rejection. This way a guy can feel pretty comfortable that he won't be laughed at.
