Parents love it when their kids tell them they are loved right? Well for some reason my mother gets annoyed when I do it, and my brother hits me. Any advise? BTW I'm 17

Sorry she gets annoyed, but don't stop. If you are genuinely saying I love you to your family members, just because you do, the donot stop. It's a nice thing.

Why not tell her mother why she gets pissed when you tell her you love her? What she regrets having you? And your brother is just dumb....brothers do that..i go and beat on my brother just for the sake of beating him cause it's fun....and i'm older....so i can do that :p. But not abusive beatings mind you, it's just tough love in my case..ANYWAY, just ask her, say what's up, what'd you do...otherwise you're gonna be 18 soon, if she can't stand you, then hell you can always move out, get a life, and find someone who will.

Your mother needs needs help! Never stop being affectionate towards people ther isn't enough in this world. And for your brother, your mom allows him to hit you I'm sorry. There is no need for it. Maybe you should talk to a counselor or someone close to you. Hang in there.

Seems your mother has a deep seated problem I think what you need to do is just ask why? she gets upset maybe she had a hard childhood ? or has been told that she is loved but has been hurt by that person as too your brother he is just acting with out sense so ignor him

Do you only tell her you love her when you want something or you have just gotten your way? Or do you tell her when things aren't going your way? Sometimes timing is everything.

I would be thrilled if my teenagers told me they loved me. I say that to them regularly, but they never respond in kind. I would say your mom is a lucky woman to have a caring teen.

it sounds like your mom has a hard time expressing her feelings to you.But if it makes you feel good, keep telling her you love her and maybe she will start telling you the same.

Well just show it in your actions .. Actions speak louder than words, remember. May be, when you grow up, your mom would take it routinely.. patience pays.

Your brother's a bully and probably thinks you're acting so "GAY"... You're mom was probably busy doing something.
