OMG! !! That is what you ate today? PIZZA AND NOODLES??? I would gain weight SO SUPER FAST if I ate like that!!! I used to weight alot but I lost 54 lbs by changing my diet! In two and a half pizza's, there are probably OVER 3000 calories...okay...im going to take a breath...let's see...there are 270 calories in ONE SLICE and their are 8 slices in a pizza...you had two and a half, that is 8+8+4=20 slices...that is 20slicesx270cal= *heart attack* OMG it's 5400 calories okay okay...maybe you mean 2 and a half slices..hopefully you do that is only 675 calories...but if you really did eat two and a half FULL pizzas and they were ONLY cheese mediums, then that is 5400 calories.......and guess what...there are 3500 calories in a pound. Read my article on calorie conservation here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweek.htm and you can check out my before and after pic here http://www.healthandstrength.net
If you ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes and burned 500 calories...it would take you 10 WHOLE days JUST to burn off that pizza...imagine if you didnt eat all that pizza and burned 5400 calories! That is about a pound and a half.
PLEASE EAT MORE VEGGIES!!! Did you know that going more than 3.5 hours without eating anything puts your body into starvation mode and everything is stored as fat?! Thats why they say to eat 5-6 small meals a day all consisiting of healthy veggies and lean proteins. I would get sick for a week if I ate what you did! (I can't imagine ever eating 20 slices!!! you should have entered a contest)

At your age you shouldn't be dieting without first consulting your parents and your doctor. You're still growing and maturing and if you want to lose weight it must be done in a very healthy way that includes everything you need to continue growing.

What you can do on your own is to excercise. It could be just walking, riding a bike, swimming or even dancing. Then cut out junk foods and fatty foods, substituting healthier choices like salads, fruits and vegetables. Try to cut back on sugary things like sodas and sweets as well as highly starchy things like excess bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. Other than that you must consult with your parents first.

By the way... What you ate today was almost totally empty calories and far too fatty. Where are your vegetables, fruit and protein? You should be eating at least 3-4 servings of vegetables and 2-3 servings of fruit as well as a couple of servings of protein.

my advice is to do some reading, from many sources, not just a couple and get a balanced view.

How much calories you intake is dependent on many factors, age, height, and weight are a few. the amount of exercise you do is another.

But you are 13, do not worry about this too much, you are far too young to get obsessed.

Just eat a reletively healthy diet, fruit, vegetables, some snack food is ok, pizza is even ok (2 and a 1/2 pizzas might be a tad excessive) and do a little exercise, go for a walk and you will be fine.

A little exercise is far more important that watching your calories.

A pizza's calorie count varies by teh size and the toppings. If you're talking about an entire bring-to-the-party sized pizza, the average is about 1200 calories each. If you're talking about a personal-sized, they're about 500 cals each.

Check this size, it lists commercial servings such as things served at Pizza Hut: http://www.nutritiondata.com/ Type in "Pizza Hut" or the kind of pizza you had.

And your calorie needs are about 2000 a day, mostly because of your age and weight. As you get older and if you chose to lose weight, it will fall dramatically. For instance, I'm 18, 5'7, 130 lbs and need 1300 a day. You can calculate your needs on the site I gave you as well.

for the pizza question..you can look on their site for nutritional info

and you barely ate anything today lol...not many calories.

The amount of calories you need depends on your activity level.
A basic formual is add a 0 to your weight so 1650.

pay more attention to what kinds of food your putting into your body, not just the calories.

You are overweight. Stop eating so much and get some exercise. At 5-5 and 165 and only 13 you will be dead in about 20 years. How much you eat depends on how much you exercise. Stay under 2000 calories per day. Stay away from sugar

Go to this page it might help: http://www.stevenscreek.com/goodies/calories.shtml

You might also try to find your BMI: http://health.yahoo.com/topic/weightloss/other/tooldoc/healthwise/tx4381

And go straight to Pizza Hut homepage on the nutrional info, it says how many calories per slice, which is about "200"

You shouldnt be counting calories, you should just eat healthy. It usually dosent matter how many calories you eat, as long as they are healthy calories that you can eaisly burn off. Protein, green food (veggies) Lean meat, whole grains.
