i own a repair shop, and i think the 3,8 is good engine but the 3,3 has prov en to be a good engine to see them in the shop with over 200 thousand miles on them and there still running good,so that one would be a hard one to call ,but for power and reliability id say the 3.8 would be a real good choice, its got a lot of pep to it,and that's good, but both of them will last a long time, good luck i hope this help,s.

3.8 definitely. You barely sacrifice any MPG but you get extra horses that keep your engine from working so hard all the time. I cruise at 2K RPM on the highway with my 3.8 and motor is great after 100K miles.
