well it is and Arab nation and a lot of foreign workers go there. It is not a free country. You can not just go there and see the sights. You can only enter on a business Visa. It is mostly desert and that does not mean sand as most people think. It is dried dirt so dust storms are common place as its dusty as hell
It is however a safe place for the most part as long as you do as they do...abide by the rules....No drink No girls no normal fun as you may no it. But shopping is the best there. there are no taxes and things like gold and silver are at cost electronics..nowhere is cheaper not even Hong Kong...the beaches are beautiful but you cant see any women...they are hidden. and they were all black gowns and veils. For an outsider it is a very strange place. I live in USA and everything we do here is illegal there. If you want to know more e-mail me and i can send links to my pics there

Big. Quiet. Dusty. Large mixture of ppl from all over the world. If you want to make some good money, it's the place to come. Saudi's are very nice warm ppl. "Weird" is relative. Yes if ur used 2 seeing men & women mixing everywhere all the time, KSA will seem weird. If ur used to seeing naked girls walking around in public, yes KSA will seem werid. And the reason there are more working men than woman, is that women don't NEED to work here. They can afford to stay home & just hang out with their girlfriends & go to the mall or the spa or whatever they want, whenever they want. No they can't drive, but so what ? they can afford to have a driver. Or two. So who needs to drive ?? The malls are beautiful ! What else does a girl need ? If it bothers you to cover up infront of strange men, or if it bothers u that ur daughter, mother, sister or wife isn't showing off her body to the world, well then sorry, but KSA is just not for you ;) It's a place to come if u appreciate peace & quiet & a modest lifestyle, that will in no way deprive of u of the everyday luxuries of modern living.

100% Muslims, Wahhabism:
PROHIBITIONS OF WAHHABISM
No other object for worship than God
Holy men or women must not be used to win favours from God
No other name than the names of Allah may enter a prayer
No smoking of tobacco
No shaving of beard
No abusive language
Rosaries are forbidden
Mosques must be built without minarets and all forms of ornaments

COMMANDMENTS OF WAHHABISM
All men must attend public prayer, salat
Alms, zakat, must be paid from all income
Butchers slaughtering animals according to halal must have their life styles scrutinized. It is not sufficient that they perform the basic rituals correctly

Male out number the females
females are very restricted. They can't drive, they can't go out without a male escort, such as father, brother, Husband, make children etc.
90% Arabs and 10% Afro-Asian
Literacy is 78.8%. Male 84.&%, Females 70.8%. Not a very good rating, my opinion. For a country with so much money, they should have min 95% literacy, but they don't. Too bad.
Monarchy, in another word. They got all the money, and the little people, got little of it!
Legal System, Sharia law.
Freedom of religion. No, unless you are Muslim then it is a requirment, nay an abligation to be a Muslims, and if you are not, then you best keep it to yourself, because you will not be able to practice your religion, and they don't hide it. They tell you before you come in to their country. All non muslim religious items, such as Torah, Bibles etc are forbidden from entering their country.
If you want to drink ligure, you can't, but if there is a well, there is always a way. You can get, in hiding, black market per say.

Language: Arabic of course, many do know English, and some others French.

They have good food, if you respect their laws! they are friendly people. All women, Muslims or non Muslim must cover up. It is the law, if you don't like it, they tell you, then leave. They have everything possible you might need, even Victoria Secret merchandise.
If you have the stamp of Israel in your passport! too bad, you will not be able to enter the country. All Jewish people, or those with the stamp of Israel in their passport are forbidden into the country.

I gave you some positive and some negative, pick what is best for your subject.

It is contrasty to what Westerns think and the bias media show it.. It is a developing, clean, and very rich country. One of the top places where you can make money if you have a contract with a Saudi or Western Co.

The Saudi people are friendly to Westerners and civilized in their treatment with foreigners.

ok i visit in basic terms get correct to the point and allow you to comprehend what's maximum in all chance occurring. both Saudis and Iranian everyone is Muslims yet in Saudi maximum everyone is Sunnah Muslims and maximum Iranians are Shea Muslims. Sunnah and Shea are both important sects of the Islamic faith. The Sunnah and Shea are nicely prevalent for not liking one yet another, its been occurring for particularly a lengthy time period now, there have even been some wars fought between both sects. the final analysis is, there are quite some good Iranian human beings and many good Saudi human beings. choose everyone by technique of how they take care of you and others, not by technique of the position they arrive from. And why can't all of us in basic terms get alongside :( ?

.It's a very religious country . it reminds every Muslim of his/her duty towards Islam a muslim gets closer to Allah in that country because it reminds him of what sacrifices were made by the Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) and other leaders & prophets for Islam and that this has only been made for some time . Islam is given alot of respect over there. restrictions are made in the country based on the teachings of Islam.
