Well now, it really depends on what's in it. Salsa is a pretty general term for any Mexican (actually could be Spanish too) sauce made for several purposes.
Generally, Salsa in America is intended for dipping chips, or to garnish Mexican food to add flavor and spice. It is made mostly from tomatoes with cilantro, shaved celery, crushed chili's (both green and red, and hot chili's, or Cheyenne peppers for spice. Oils are used to blend the ingredients. The best for a healthy salsa is olive oil.
If these are the only ingredients (with other possible fruits or vegetables), then yes salsa is healthy. With some other ingredients (like other oils, or sugar syrups, or salt), then the healthy benefits are diluted.
Good luck finding some tasty salsa. If you can't try making some of your own.

Yes. As long as it's Salsa and not Salsa with cheese or something like that, salsa is pretty healthy. Although watch the sodium -- some have more salt than others and if you're really restricted on salt, that could make a difference. But for the most part, it's healthy :-)

Salsa is good (as long as SUGAR and MSG aren't ingredients!) ! Corn chips....not so much...It's about balance. I have a list of ingredients that I will NEVER put into my body. I lost 54lbs and I eat VERY clean. I LOVE SALSA! But I dip veggies in it...and MAYBE 5 chips for taste...but the chips can't have any hydrogenated oils in them or I won't eat them. You can see my before and after pic here http://www.healthandstrength.net and the list that I take to the store every time I go shopping is on this page: http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweeka.htm
Good luck and stick to natural foods :)

Salsa is wonderful. Lots of lycopene and Vitamin C. OK so eating it with fried tortilla chips NOT a great move, but in moderation it is one of the better munchy snacks and if you eat it with veggies it is a no lose combo! Tomatoes, onions a bit of cilantro, GOLD my friend, GOLD!
Salsa is one of the best choises for dipping anything you could make, just be wary of what you are eating it with and you will be fine! :)

Canned salsa is healthy, but has alot of sodium in it. If you can dice your own veggies, it would be healthier. Try tomato, onions, peppers, garlic and lemon juice.
Good Luck.

I would say yes. Tomatoes are great for you. There's also onions and other spices. Always buy organic.
