If you drink a ton of water and your body doesnt need to urinate your dehydrated. I know my body gets dehydrated easily. And I have suffered health issues over this because I did not drink enough water and now I have health issues for the rest of my life over this.

The fastest way to check for dehydration is to check for "tenting" tenting is when you pinch the skin on the back of the hand--------if well hydrated the skin will return to normal fast-----------if dehydration is present the skin will stay raised for a little while creating a tent-like appearance.-----try it and see!

I can tell when I start to feel real thirsty. Sometimes my thirst doesn't warn me accurately so I ask myself how much water I have been drinking that day. I know I should be drinking about 6 cups of water a day so if I have been slacking, I drink more.

Lips are not usually affected. The rate of urination is decreased, and the color (concentration) of the urine is a reddish brown color. Drink lots of water.

just to add to the rest of the wonderful answers-your urine won't be a clearish yellow but its also smells really strong kinda like amonia or well strong pee smell, you get this white paste on your lips and you may feel hungry more so than usual.

also, if you pull at your skin at it doesn't "snap" right back into place, like it takes a few seconds to get back to looking like your normal skin then you know you're dehydrated
