Just palin and simple.. yes or no... don't go around making yourself miserable and confused ask yourself do you want to go out with him or not and if your heart says no then don't do it. It will be more embarassing not to turn him down and act silly on the date itself since you really do not like him anyway. Just come up with an excuse that you had to be with family or what ever on the day he invites you and pretend that you are busy to save yourself. and to save you from being up tight and miserable on the date it self.

What would be embarrassing about it? I think it would be more embarrassing to actually go out with him and then treat him badly because you don't have feelings for him. Just be honest, without being cruel! IF he asks you out, simply tell him that you aren't interested.

If you don't like this person, and if there is no attraction, then there is no shame in tactfully communicating that message to said person. Do whatever you have to do to feel comfortable, and don't worry about what their reaction may be. If you go about it honestly and kindly it will work itself out naturally. Good Luck! Ciao!

If you don't like him, politely turn him down or tell him you are already dating someone (even if it isn't true). Trust me, he will get over it and move on. Don't feel forced to get into a situation no matter what.

This situation is a toughy. Hum...
Try talking to the people who tried to set you up with him. Tell them to get the message straight and that you DON'T like him anymore! Also try telling him yourself, or if you don't want to deal with that, tell one of his buddies. GET IT THROUGH TO HIM SOMEHOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

simple, say the classic line "let's just be friends" and "it's not you, it's me." tell him this when you two are alone so you and him won't get embrassed. also explain to him that you've gotten over him and no longer feel the same way. better yet also say "i wish i felt the same way now but i just don't anymore."

I think you should graciously decline the invitation if offered.
You should not be embarrassed for declining the invitation.
Be honest, but be polite.

Just avoid him, and if he does ask you out, just let him down as easily as you possibly can...or, you could start being mean to him and make him stop liking you, but I don't recommend that....

why would it be embarrassing to you? i would think that it would be more embarrassing for him. try to spread it around school that you don't want to go out with him and hopefully people will stop trying to hook you up.
