I rarely ever wear my hair up because when I take it down I have this indention wear the hair tie was holding it back and it bothers me. It doesn't brush out. The only way I can make it go away is if I wash my hair and restyle it or use a flat iron to smooth it out. Is there anything I can do to keep the hair ties from leaving that indention in my hair?

Try a few things.
Use a wider, softer hair tie so it doesn't have as sharp a crease in your hair.
Make sure your hair is completely dry - damp hair will hold a dent more easily.
Make the tie a little looser, so it doesn't cut in so hard.
Use a clip instead of a tie.

rigidity much less. study tutor that hair relatively grows slower once you're under pressure to the max. Your hair additionally desires a sturdy night's sleep. So relax, and get some close-eye already.

i don't think you can. what i do ,if i don't want to wash my hair, is spray up there where the pony tail was with a little water and blow it dry about 3 or 4 min.. it should fall out and be more smooth.

My mother is a hairdresser, I just called her, and she said that regardless you will have these indentions in your hair. Humidity, sweat and putting them in your hair while wet makes it worse. I hope this helps.

It is probably because you put it up when it is wet. Your hair is EXTREMELY britle when wet, the only thing i found that works is to not put the hair tie too tight and don't tie it up too often.

don't put it too tight. also if you don't mind the 80's look just use a scrunchy they don't have much elastic and that's what leaves a mark.
