Not only can it lead to a bench warrant, but 9 times out of 10 it will. I would suggest paying the fines instead of trying to avoid them and then letting it haunt you down the road.

yes, and it will cost about 4 times more than the original fine. Also, when you have a bench warrant, you can get picked up at any time and go directly to jail. You certainly don't want to go to jail on Friday. You will have to stay at least til Monday!! Pay it!!!
