So there i was sitting in history like any normal day. Are teacher ask what we think of illegal immigrants and illegal immigration. everyone kept saying how bad it was and then the girl with the huge spanish accent raises her hand.
Are teacher said alright what do yoiu think.
She replied i think illegal immigration is good if you just want a better life. i am an illegal immigrant as the rest of my family. we have been for five years.
her and her family are great people but no one new they were illegals. they become legal citizens very soon. I have a whole new view of immigrants that sneek in. now i realize we should not base immigrants in how they came in but why they came in and what they did once in.

Yes I do because it's disgustingly unfair for the immigrants who go through the pain in the aѕѕ legal process to get to America legally.
Both of my parents are legal immigrants, My mother has been in America for over 20 years and she's STILL trying to get all of her siblings into America legally. Allowing legal immigrants would be a big slap in the face for people like my mom's siblings.
It's ridiculous that people break the law and then demand that we give them shіt. It's like someone raping you and then asking you to pay for dinner.
[edit]
We ALL came over here illegally? How UNeducated are you? We did not all descend from the Pilgrims, there aren't many of them left anyway. My family has only LEGALLY been in America for a little over 20 years, it's not possible.

I have nothing against illegal immigrants and I understand were they come from, they are hungry and need a job. They are, for the most part, hard working individuals trying to better themselves yet they are breaking the law. No one is above the law and the laws of the land must be in-forced. A guest worker program must be put in place that allows temporary guest workers access to the American workforce (legally). Here in Texas enforcement of the immigration laws have led to as much as 25% of the citrus and vegetable crop rot in the fields down in south Texas because of a lack of workers. The workers are definitely needed. Here in west Texas a large percentage of the oil workers who work on pulling units and on drilling rigs are illegal. If they were suddenly gone the oilfield would shut down. And its not that oil service companies are exploiting these workers with lower wages than those paid to Americans, because they are not. I know many pulling unit hands who are here illegally and they are making some $12.00 to $15.00 an hour, which is what everyone else, is being paid. The reality is these workers are here and we cannot do without them. Most of the cities in this area have an only a 3 to 4% unemployment rate. To insure that they are not being exploited a guest worker program must be put into place. Yet it has found little support in the halls of congress, even though the President and the Democrats are in favor of the GWP.

Yes, all illegal immigration is bad. Not all the people are bad, but they did commit a crime and it creates problems for our country.
Because your classmate is fitting in and trying to become an American, I appreciate that.
I HATE it when people come here illegally and then try to change it to their former country, by refusing to learn our language, continuing to support their country, or showing patriotism to their former flag and having no respect for ours.
If illegal immigrants were like your classmate, it wouldn't be near as big an issue. The problem is many ruin it by demanding bi-lingual forms, classes, etc. They form whole neighborhoods and turn them into "little Mexico", trying to make us unwelcome in OUR own country. That's not trying to become an American!

Yes, laws were implemented for a reason. I detest ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. I am married to a non-American whom by the way is LEGAL and has obtained green card LEGALLY. I had to live in England before we could get him here LEGALLY!! What makes them so special? We did it the right way, why should they get a green pass? They break down our schools, our health care system, raise car insurance rates because they drive uninsured, etc. I could go on and on and on. I have nothing against immigrants as I am married to one but I do HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

Yes I do, our laws are put into place for a reason. Many illegal immigrants don't pay taxes and send the majority of their money back to Mexico. They take jobs away from hard working Americans looking for work. The city I live in is being overrun by illegals.

I think that if were easier to immigrate to the United States and earn citizenship, we wouldn't have such a problem with illegal immigration. most people of Latin America who come here have little education and little or no English skills. if they could come legally, then at least the government could monitor how many are coming in.

Yes, I do. If we could afford to pay to educate that many, and wanted to spend that much money to educate poor foreigners at the expense of our own children's educations, we wouldn't have had those limits on immigration of poor people to begin with.
Sorry, but your better life is at our expense, and at the expense of the quality of our children's education. See those crowded classrooms? How much better would they be with many fewer non-English speaking students?
We gave amnesty when there were a few million, but our schools are failing now where illegal immigrants concentrate. What right have you to do that to our schools?

A lot of people say that immigration is bad but when you think about it everyone in America has ancestors that were not born in America but other countries like England or Spain my point is no one family is 100% American because your ancestors were probably immigrants even though its been over 400 years since they came here

I need to cut some onions up to get a tear going.
I would have asked what better life Americans deserve first, who follow the laws and get forced in the ankle grabbing position by our government for doing so.
Or about the millions of legal immigrants that pay into our system to be here and actually love being an American.

NO, NO NO NO, illegal immigrants are not bad people. Think about it, the majority of illegals were brought here young, WITH NO CHOICE AT ALL! And these children group up believing America is their country.
I think that the children that were brought here with no choice and grew up in America, learning American ways history etc.. should be given the option of becoming citizens because THEY were FORCED to come here illegaly by their parents.
But yes, illegal immigration is bad. It is also bad to refuse assimulation.
