don't eat donuts, and such to gain weight- you'll just get fat, and trust me that's way way worse. Go on a no-Carb-high protein diet. Eat nothing but meat eggs, and cheese. Drink lots of water, and diet drinks. Work your biceps, triceps, chest, back and upper legs. I wouldn't be surprised if you put on 40 lbs in 5 months, plus you'll look great. trust me- it works.
One thing I forgot- eat A LOT. Eat often, and when you do eat a high quantity of meat, eggs, and cheese.

well atleast you know that you are underweight and i'm glad you want to do something about it
try eating more..taking in more carbs than anything else and lower cardio because your weight is pretty low. You'll gain weight fairly fast. Try to aim for 1-2 lbs per week to gain weight in a healthy manner

Eat balanced food, and by that if you need more information then please search this in Yahoo or Google. There are plenty of sites delving on these issues.
However, please have plenty of fibrous items and fruits, particularly banana that could increase your body weight remarkably within a few months time. Do not forget to drink adequate quantity of water, may be minimum 8 and maximum 12 glass-full per day.
In any case, first consult your physician before embarking on any new regimen as this may hurt you if you are not fit for the prescription being given in this forum.

I have been under weight most of my life and yes it can be hard to gain, but here is the best way to do so..
Breakfast 1 egg, 1 sausage patty, 1 slice of toast, a glass of milk.
Lunch sandwich chips fruit and a glass of milk
diner meat patato vegetable fruit and a glass of milk.
snacks, eat healthy snacks like celery with peanut butter , 4 crackers with peanut butter and a glass of milk.

you shouldnt eat unhealthy foods but to gain weight is like what the other person said there are certain things you can do i think that there are types of pills that make you gain weight but there not that great all i can say is look some different things up online and i hope for you the best

I agree,
you should really see a profesional to find out the underlying cause for your low weight.
I have annorexia myself but have been seeing a profesional and it has really helped. Im finding the true cause of my disorder wasn't what I thought it was.
Take a leap. Its scary at first to change but once you do you will never look back.
There is so much more to life than looks and weight.
