RAMEN NOODLES, because there is no time that they don't hit the spot!!!
Geez... so many people saying Ramen is sooo bad, but Rice A Roni isn't much better!!! Besides, neither are bad enough that, every once in a while when you get a hankering for it, it will hurt you.

Rice A Roni Noodles

Rice a Roni is a much healthier choice than Ramen Noodles. The sodium content of Ramen is huge. Eating Ramen more than a couple of times a week isn't very good for you. In terms of flavor, I'd go with Ramen though.

Ramen, ramen, ramen. The real Japanese kind from an Asian store, not the bland 20 cent bags they sell everywhere else. Why? You can do anything with it. Eat it like a soup, eat it like pasta, decorate your room, scour your skillet, create a toupee for a statue (dye it black while you cook it, and then use hot glue to set it before it dries; think "Bad"-era Michael Jackson Jheri curls). The list may be endless. In comparison, Rice-a-Roni is food. Just food!

Furthermore: Do they sell Miso Rice-a-Roni? Tonkatsu? Kimchi? No? Then leave it for the flavor-deprived San Franciscans.

I love rice so I will choose the one that has been around since I was young and has the most memories associated with it and that's Rice A Roni. I am a well versed cook and still can't come close to copying the recipe. I've come close but that doesn't count, so I still buy Rice A Roni and serve it to my kids. It is the best.

You would make me choose. (joking!)

I take Rice a Roni. Sure ramen noodle soup is good, but rice a roni has more flavor variety and it's a healthier choice.

I like rice, so rice a roni is good, but ramen noodles are better in my opinion. They are cheaper and faster to cook.

Damned if I dont' like either of 'em.. (too much frickin' SALT, man..) You ever checked on the ingredients in these things? no s*it!.. check on the labels right now! You want to turn your guts inside out.. into a salt factory, eat hearty, matey! I cook these sorry things (I pick the rice-a-roni for the boarders here tho.) Ya know why? and this IS the best and only good reason.. it is because you can ADD other ingredients to rice-a-ronis.. I add stuff like kidney beans (yes, kidney beans.. ) grated cheese, broccoli.. beef.. yeah, you do more w/that than ramens.. lmao

I recall Ramen noodles being $.10 per package when I was in my teens. 18+ years ago. I'm pretty sure they're still about that price. When I was driving long haul truck, I always had about 2 cases with me. Boiled up with 2/3 of the water, add a can of cooked chicken and peas, and it's a meal.

Sort of...

I like to make a "white trash risotto" with rice a roni for those mornings post ennibriation. I saute finely chopped schallot in butter and olive oil then add the roni and toast. I substitue chicken stock and white wine for that neon yellow package and let it do it's thing..season to taste... mix in pamesano reggiano and some peas mint garlic and lemon peel. Yum!
