You will also have to make sure they go to school and do their homework too and being in your own home you will have a lot of extras to do too.
I think that charging at least $225.00 should be the standard rate because think what daycare charges for just 8 to 9 hours a day for 5 days a week and they get at least $100.00 for each child and those children don't stay at daycare for a week straight either but go home with a parent.
You should think about all the duties that you have to do for those two children for a week then decide if $225.00 is enough. I think it's a fair rate for taking care of two kids for a whole week straight.
And besides you will have to feed them and make sure they are alright too, if they get hurt you will have to be the one to take them to doctor, you will use your own car to take them some place you will be in charge of two young children so I suggest that you brace yourself for a week of anything can and might just happen, he he he.
Have fun and enjoy them and I do mean it too. Kids are wonderful and are a blessing too.

That is a huge amount of work. First if the kids are there for 7 days, 24 hours a day--and because you are caring for them in your home, you are on duty 24 hours in a day - so you should be paid, even if a lower rate when sleeping.
$150 for the week is actually less than a dollar an hour! You will have them for 168 hours and a the low, ridiculour rate of $2 hr, that would be $336. If you charge a dollar an hour when they sleep - lets say 8 hrs per 7 days = 56 hours that would be $56, then add at least $3 an hour for being awake would be 112 hours and that would be $336 plus $56 = $392
and they need food!

i might verify with the close by day cares to work out what they're charging. If she is anticipating you to bathe the domicile then actually ask for somewhat extra. Plus, you could no longer stay at domicile all day with them so which you will ought to determine interior the fee of flicks or different relaxing activities that this is incredibly helpful to do with them. fortuitously this is an age the place they are somewhat extra self sufficient and not as hard as say a infant or infant. in spite of the undeniable fact that, I nonetheless desire you success! playstation - do no longer forget to function interior the fee for a plenty mandatory satisfied hour afterwards!

I was charging $5 per hour when I was babysitting. But that would mean $840 for one week. I would charge $250 for the week, and that would include everything, even taking them out for fun stuff!

depends how close to the family you are
they may be prepared to bring food over for you before they head off - but at least enough to cover food & other activities
if I was doing it for family - then I would NOT expect any financial recompensation
in fact I have been asked to look after a friends 2 young children ( 6 & 3) for 4 days while she goes out of town to attend her husbands military passing out parade
she said she will give me some money - my reply was just to make sure there was plenty of food - I will be staying at her place though
