I recently came across a copy of the St. Theresa, the Little Flower novena. I am familiar with this novena. I know that one of the signs of the prayer is that a flower will come down from heaven.
Does this make any sense?
My question is this. While I didn't say the prayer when I found it, I came across a beautiful red rose petal today. Is this possibly a sign? I have been praying for a special intention recently and I happened to find this flower petal today.

St. Theresa and roses go together like peas and carrots.
I know several people who have been delighted by roses from this saint.
I would certainly take that rose pedal as a good sign.

You have serious problems if you honestly think that a flower peddle will fall down from heaven and give you a sign.
Jesus said "it is an adulteous and wicked generation that seeks after a sign and to them, no sign shall be given, accept the sign of Jonah, for as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for 3 days and 3 nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth".
Get it, the only sign we need is that Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death so that by putting our faith in Him as Savior and Lord, we will some day die and go to Heaven for eternity.
Don't look for signs unless your driving down the road, then if you see one that says something like Stop or speed limit or curve ahead, pay close attention and drive accordingly.

No matter what your religion you cannot pray to people.
The first commandments is this -I am Jehovah your God, who have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves. You must not have any other gods against my face. You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bring punishment for the errors of the fathers upon the sons, upon the thrid and forth generations in the case of those who hate me. But excercising loving-kindness toward the thousandth generation in the case of those who love me and keep my commandments.
So you see here you are not to pray to theresa, you are not to look for omens (flowers) and signs. Do not make idols and never pray to them.
The only way to God is directly while you say through Jesus Christ...for Jesus said he is the door through which you walk to get to the father.

Gee i would ponder that since the whole world is under the Devils control i would not put any expectations in something as such.
Wouldn't be more benefical to be doing Gods will as the preaching work. Since that is a clear sign and a fullfillment of bible prophercy??

the flower can be a message if you so choose,or it could be like the 100's of millions that people find each and every day. I found a pencil and took that to be a message from the Webster dictionary company make what you want out of it.

We all yearn for God in our lives on a personal level that makes us special to Him. It's always nice to know He's listening.
He plays hide and seek you know. (and if we find a sign when we are not seeking it, I don't think that makes us evil, do you?) Also, it is good to keep our ears open to hear His voice, and eyes to see His works and give Him acknowledgement and thanks for the things He sends. Is not the smallest thing from God?

Praying to the Lord Jesus has never been about asking anyone to speak to Jesus on your behalf.
Speak to Him directly - you don't have to dial "O" to get to the boss.
