I've had micros 3 times my hair is pretty healthy the first two times i got them they grew my hair alot and it was alot healthier because i wasn't constantly blowdrying and flat ironing it. When I had them i didnt wear pony tales that much, the third time i got them some braids around my edges came out not many or enough to notice but i think it was because i wore pony tales alot then i did when i previously had them. But they grew my hair to and it is still healthy you really cant listen to ppl though it depends on your hair. just make sure u clip your ends and deep condition your hair before you get them also don't keep them to long i never go over two and a half months ppl i talk to that have problems try to keep them 3 or longer

It depends on how small the micros are going to be, how tight the braider grabs your natural hair, how much you oil or grease your edges, how long you have it in your hair and what style you plan to wear it in. (1) If it is braided too small the braiding hair is going to pull down on your edges which is fine hair so it is easy to pop off. (2) If the braid is tight that will be too much tension on your edges. (3) If your hair and scalp is dry then it will be brittle and break, (4) If you have it in too long the *refer to answer one. (5) If you get it braided and always pull it up in a ponytail all the time eventually the weave braiding hair is going to pull at the root of your natural hair and pop off.

On a good note if you keep it moist, wear it down at times and don't leave them in too long, for instance getting the edges braided over then it will help your hair grow. Oh yeah wear a satin scarf.

My momma is a beautician and she says it will mess up your hair if you have good hair, but if it is already short and damaged it will only make it worse........but, your hair may or may not get stronger after micros, depending on your family's genes

I don't deal with black people hair, so I have no idea.Try a weave. Black people hair is naturally stiff and brittle.
