Just try to eat some plain bread, with a cool glass of milk. Nothing with carbonation in it like cola, etc., it will only agitate it more. If anything, try some crushed ice, let it melt gradually on your tongue. I did this not long ago, and I know it sounds stupid, held a ice cold wash-cloth on my tongue for about 30 min, and it helped allot, sorry you hurt., hope it gets better!!!!

Plain yogurt with active cultures. It must have the active cultures, they promote quicker healing. Let the yogurt sit on the burned area for a while before swallowing. Two slowly eaten servings of yogurt per day should speed your recovery.

For actual pain relief, try a sore throat spray.

It does hurt and everything tastes funny it'll get better in a few days not much you can do in the meantime. Just try to make sure your food is cooled next time hot cheese and tomato-y things burn the worst.

I burned my finger yesterday, and someone told me to take Ibuprofen. I didn't think it worked for that kind of pain, but it did and I was totally okay in like 30 minutes. You could try that.
