Did anyone watch the story of Jessica Coleman, the girl who pretty much killed her baby? She kept her pregnancy secret, (her and her bf) and gave birth to him in her bathroom by herself, then the bf put his poor baby in a bag and threw him into what was it, a lake or something? well anyway, when u watched the interview, did u believe that she planned the whole thing or do u think she stabbed her baby, not to "end his pain" but to kill him. Do you think her bf and her planned on not telling anyone abuot the pregnancy so they can get rid of the baby without anyone knowing? Did you believe her at all when she was being interviewed? It seemed like she was faking. What a bad person!

I have to say I didn't believe her at all. It made me cry, I was so sad for the baby. I can't believe anyone could do that to an innocent baby. I can't remember if she had actual tears, but I don't believe it was to "end his pain". How can you do all that and then go downstairs and have dinner like it was nothing? Can you believe she said he came home from college and would stand on her stomach. AND her mother is a nurse and she saw none of the symptons? I just don't get it!

I saw the interview, I thought Oprah did a great job with it. I did have many moments when I thought "if your going to cry then do it and stop the fake wiping of your eyes" but you know I can't judge her. I do think had she not be found out then she would of never told on her own. She was drinking when she admitted it so it could of been a matter of time. Had the people who were in the bar had not heard it maybe she would of just moved on with her life. I do think since she has been caught it is a decent and morally right thing to try to help other girls in a similar situation.
Not a cross I would want to bear.

I believed her to a point but felt at times she was attempting to get sympathy for herself. I thought to myself that 7 years is not that long for her, she'll be still young and will have the opportunity for a full life when she gets out of jail but her baby never had a opportunity ,a chance for life at all and will be forever dead to this life(although the baby is in Heaven with God). The reason she killed her baby was not to be found out,too scared to have her parents know and that was a real tragedy that she felt she had no one to go and why its important that parents impress upon their children that their love and support is always there and unconditional. But again many other girls ,pregnant and who feel, felt this way did not and do not turn to murder as a way out but choose instead to deal with the consequences no matter what . It is also important that although we can be horrified at what she did and rightly so that we do not condem her and/or attempt to deprive her of a life after jail for her judgement for this will be from God and not us. If she is sincere or even if not but does when she gets out talk to young girls about herself her deed and her emotions feeling and if she influences a young girl(s)l to act differently ,that there are options available then she will be doing a good thing.

I think that she was in complete denial from the get go and it only worsened her mental state. Therefore she didn't think any of it was real. I thought she was sincere but still in shock over the REALITY train not just stopping at her front door but, slamming into her and her cozy future. Regardless, I agree with Oprah you are not your past, you are what you decide to do with what you have done, learned, happened to you. What ever applies to you.

I think she was faking. Why would she stab a baby if he was stillborn? It makes no sense.

NO, I DIDN'T SEE THAT SHOW. SOUNDS TERRIBLE. I THINK THEY PLANNED IT TO GET RID OF THE BABY AND HOPE NO ONE FOUND OUT ABOUT IT.
