cause i have 1 and when i brought it to school for picture retakes my Best friend went crazy over it and hugged me and i fell to the ground on my butt. LMAO so yeah just wondering.

They straighten your hair faster than most other straighteners due to the intense heat. Unlike other straighteners, with a CHI you really only need to go over your hair once or twice to get it straight. I like that they take less than a minute to heat up, and my hair always looks shiny and smooth when I'm finished. Because the heat can get pretty high, you need to make sure however not to leave it on your hair for too long. One last good thing about a CHI straightener is that it allows you to get as close to the scalp as possible so your entire head looks straightened. A lot of other straighteners can't get as close so the top of your head is left curly.

I was "cheated" when I purchased mine in 2002, back then you could only get it online without having a cosmetology license. I paid 275.00 USD, and although they run for about 90.00 in the Beauty Supplies store, it was the best 275.00 I've ever spent.
It's a professional straightener, not the conair, revlon, remington c r a p found at walmart!
You pay more, you get more!

Hair stays healthy with it. I have had one within the past couple of years and my hair is healthy and happy. Also, the time consumed on the straightening process is less compared to other products.

Really IMHO it's just the fact that when you have one, you can say, "oh, MY straightener's a CHI and I'm so hot because I have a CHI straightener". Don't waste your money- a $25 conair one straightens your hair perfectly.
Just put whiteout over "Conair" and write over it "CHI".
