I just moved into an older home and the bathtub, sink, and potty are lilac from the 50's lol. Any creative ideas? I cannot afford to rip them out just yet, so thought someone might have a good idea for decorating. I'm not the golden girl's type, so i'm not into the doll-house type look, I think more of a contemporary taste. Please give your opinions. Thanks :)

I happened to move into a home that had lilac fixtures. I tried to color coordinate but it always looked so frilly or feminine. Finally by accident, I found that grey and yellow made a good but different statement. Try it- you will have to play with the different shades of those colors, but the combination worked well. When we finally remodeled the bathroom, we sold the fixtures - some folks really like those retro fixtures! Good luck!
