You should never try to impress someone-- creates a false image of yourself that you won't be able to live up to in the long run. Be yourself and if it happens, it happens.

Be energetic yourself, or outgoing, I guess. Some people call me very energetic... and I look for funny and smart guys... lol sry, that must be like a terrible answer... but in any case, I hope you have somewhat of a clearer view of what to do...
