Why do most christians say that Harry Potter and any other FANTASY based books relate to satanism? So it has magic in it, whoop-de-doo, it's a book!

It's the age-old witch hunt.... nothing more.

Christians simply believe that anything that is not completely Christian in nature is of the devil.... simple.

You can't argue this with them. It's their belief and they are sticking to it.

Occasionally, you will run across a Christian who can see silliness for what it is and keeps their mouth shut about nonsense like Harry Potter though.

If the books portrayed witches as evil then the XTREME Christians would stop their protests immediately....

Taken for face value, Harry Potter is a purely fictional fantasy series.

Some people take it too seriously, and think it has to do with witchcraft, when in fact the only witchcraft it has to do with is that of fantasy magic, not religious magick.

Some people read between the lines and note that it portrays what many deem as the fundamental Christian ideal: good ultimately triumphing over evil.

There are actually many Christian groups (schools, Bible studies, etc.) that use excerpts from the series to teach Christian lessons.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it! :P

as for Harry Potter the whole story is based on witchcraft, so of course, Christians are going to object to it and any other thing related to the subject

It doesn't actually have magic in it since there's no such thing as magic. What it has in it, is fantasy and fun. Maybe that's what certain christians object to. Ignore them.

It is witchcraft which is evil and condemed by God. it is simply one form of evil batteling another form of evil for the control of evil power... The author of the series openly admitted her direct tie to witchcraft and has admitted that the spells and evil names and all the directions used in the original are directly from witchcraft practices and are very real... this has all been downplayed since the hystarical cult following has grown around the crap... but that the forces named in the books are real forces of evil and the spells used are the spells that can summon evil forces...that series is nothing but a course in evil 101... and beyound

Whether you believe or not...the forces of evil are ery real and evil has dominion in this world... any activity connected to evil is a danger to any involved...whther or not they "believe" or not...

It has the same tricks as the bible and it is written better than the bible. If kids read that fake book they might realize the bible is fake too and that won't fill up the collection plates.
