Well I'm not an orthodontist or ever had braces but my friend had the same problem as you if you tooth is a little bit loose they will pull it but if its not there just put a Little metal bar over it in till it falls out.

ok u have asked the same question like a billion times so u must be real worryed about it. but i suggest u stop stressing bout it coz its not that big a deal. i read in one of ur other questions that this is the first time you will be going to the orthodontist? if it is and you do need braces then it is likely that the tooth will be pulled out and braces put on. or ur orthodontist may tell u 2 come back when it has fallen out. if u do need the tooth pulled out dont worry bout that it doesnt hurt much(i have had it done) they numb ur gum with some gel stuff then they give u a needle in ur gum which u can hardly feel and then they wait till it is numb and then pull it out (you cant feel it except for a little bit of pushing and pulling but not pain) after it is pulled out it will bleed a bit but will be pretty much like any other hole from a missing tooth except a little deeper maybe. if your orthodonmtist has it pulled you will then probably get braces. they will probably put them on while you have a gap and waiting for a new tooth to come down. on the wire where the gap is they will probly put a spring thing (it doesnt hurt) to keep the gap open for the new tooth. if you orthodontist but braces on without removing the babytooth then i doubt they would put a bracket on it because there would be no point and the tooth probably wouldnt be strong enough for braces anyway. so if braces where put on without the tooth being removed the wire would likely just go straight across it and mayb one of the spring things would be put on the wire. i think it is most likely she will pull it tho and dont worry having a tooth pulled is way less painful than u expect.

I have already answered this question for you a few days ago!

But if you would like, I'll repost my answer!!

Sometimes, they will bracket the surrounding teeth and skip over that tooth for now, until it falls out on it's own. If it is loose, you may not need to have it pulled; however, if it looks like it will not come out on its own, then I am sorry to say that it may need to be pulled!

That depends on your orthodontist. However, if you tooth really is loose and ready to come out she might leave it there. Besides, even if it has to be extracted it's not a big deal. They'll give you injections of local anesthetic or give you IV anesthetic so that you won't feel it.

Will any of the rest of you be happy when Wednesday is over and Casey stops spamming the dental section with this same question?

Look, Kid...I'm not unsympathetic to your trauma. But this is not life and death....it's a baby tooth.

Please, for the love of god...shut up.
