[1] you can't control what others think/said [2] Yahoo answer is not the right place to look for bf
friends that you can see are difficult to judge n know what their intention, why not try those around your community, school, church where you can have real contact with them, get to know their background n family as well. i am not saying those from Internet are the one to avoid but just casual friendship wouldn't hurt, you may learn more or different things from them as they may come from just any where around the world ! Just be careful, love yourself first before looking for others to loves you !
