I had three wisdom teeth that cut with no problems, but my fourth one cut for years and never really came through. My dentist had to cut it out because the roots were growing around my jawbone, a problem my mother had, too.

Also, my nephew had all four of his wisdom teeth removed and about five years later four more came back.

No, not everyone. I had double wisdom teeth and had to have all removed while in high school. My brother had double ones, too! I don't know if there's a link or not. I had several people in the dental office I used to work that had none! My girlfriend only had two uppers and no lowers. My other friend had 4 and they all came in and she still has them.

Not everyone has four "wisdom teeth." In fact, my dentist told me that not having them is an indication of a possible evolutionary trend. [And to the probable fairy tale believers who may post an objection to evolution, when the next pandemic flu comes along, do you want to be treated for what that flu started as or what it will have evolved into?]

No, as a matter of fact some people don't have any - ever. My husband for example doesn't have any indication in his x-rays. He is in his 50s and never had any in the first place.

No. Many people only have three or less. A lucky few don't ever have any at all.
