I think the top 5 would be:

1. cement for construction.
Its manufacture is hazardous.
Its use is safe if safety precautions are taken.

2. Iron, in the form of steel. Fairly safe to use. Obtaining its ore form mines, and processing it is hazardous.

3. Plastics. Most are non-biodegradable. Burning produces noxious gases.

4. Agricultural chemicals such as pesticides, weedicides, etc. Most of these are NOT safe.

5. The various factions obtained from crude oil, and natural gas.. Like other fossil fuels, they produce thousands of tons of carbon dioxide per day worldwide.

Silicon dioxide crystals. Very safe. You can walk barefoot on the beaches around here, which are quartz (silicon dioxide) silt.
