What will you need it for?
If you plan on toting around a lot of stuff, need to have several people in it at once, etc then you might want to look at something like the rav 4, Honda cr-v or ford escape
If you are going to be driving a lot in it (commuting a far distance, driving an hour to work, etc) I would recommend looking at something like the Toyota Camry or Honda accord hybrids.
If it is for in town driving with a moderate load, I would recommend the Camry or accord, non hybrid versions.
It really depends on what you want the car for. I recommend researching on www.edmunds.com for what you want.
Good luck.

Get a Toyota Camry, and you may have some change left over for gas. Not only is a good car, but I have owned two. I have a 2005 now, and I've never owned a better car.

My top choices would be Toyota Land Cruiser, Honda Pilot, or Saturn (can't think of their model SUV).
