Ok, making an educated guess here. Peppers are acidic by nature. The juice is a little oily too. Try some baking soda mixed with a little water and Dawn dishwashing liquid.

Good Luck

Ok, this may sound really stupid and a waste, but put his hands in ICE CREAM. This works. My sister and I were cutting up peppers and we got the burn and after trying everything else we plunged our hands into the sweet stuff for several minutes. It WORKS. Trust me.

Think I would try the milk on his hands. Sure makes your mouth feel good after eating hot peppers.

Dough - really make bread or tortillas-I have made salsa by hand and this always works fast the dough extracts the chili from your hands, you could pop over to the market and get ready made pizza dough(like Pillsbury) and have him knead it. It will cool his hands right away.

It's just as well it's only his hands. try rubbing parsley on them. I read that if anyone gets chilli burn in the mouth, then parsley is supposed to be an antidote.
Check out the link and good luck to him.

baking soda and water will neutralize the acid. I had the same problem over the summer. It will keep burning if you don't take care of it . sounds like great salsa though! :)

The best thing to do is wash the hands with soap and water first, then dip them in vegetable oil for about an hour.

Next time, avoid hot peppers,,,,it's not for him...If it hurts his hands, think of the harm in his stomach...Get a milder sauce...
