Well, I'm not religious, so I won't have any religious views on this. I live life so I can be happy. It feels good to be happy. Therefore everything I do is done to make me happy (or as an investment for future happiness - ie. school - university - job - money). So yeah, just be happy, enjoy every moment, of course we'll die, so why not be happy now?

Other things that make me happy:
Puppies
Chocolate
Love
Shiny Objects
Television Shows
Fresh Laundry
Sex
Music
Travelling
... As you can see, lots of things can make you happy, so why not be happy?

** Also as a general rule of thumb, make other people happy - or relieve their pain - I make sure to do this just in case religions are true, because if you are good to other people, I'm sure any God (if you believe in one) will be happy with you.

I think the important thing is to have true joy. I don't mean things like partying or "fun" stuff like that. I mean really truly having happiness that lasts beyond the moment or day. I believe we find that through God, family and serving others.

I think to say that you believe it is to worship God is a bit broad, don't you think? I mean, I'm not knocking your answer, I'm saying that you really should be a bit more specific!

How you choose to worship God is another purpose to life ... do you try to make it evident in your daily life? How?

In Krishna Consciousness the most important thing in life if our Relationship with God. With out that everything is insignificant. We put God Also known as Krishna, Allah,Jehovah, etc. in the center of everything we do this is called Bhakti yoga (devotional service to the Lord) Yoga actually means to link up or connect or union with God. I wish you well on your path to God consciousness (Allah Consciousness)

Life is a random lottery of meaningless tragedies. Sadly, this is why many lose faith in a higher being. You just have to keep telling yourself that there has to be more than this monotony....At least having some form of spiritual hope will make the road a little smoother.....

Like you say life is full of cycles: we are born, we grow, we perpetuate our species, and then we die. But we humans are different because we look for meaning, we believe, we serve others, and most important we are part of God. This life is important because I feel it, and because I have made the choice of enjoy it.

Well according to the KJV bible, which is the true word of God, the plan is that God wants the perfect bride for His son Jesus who is the bride groom. He is the lamb of God.

Life is a sifting through the best of the best to become Jesus bride. All those who accept Jesus as their savior, accepting that He died on the cross for our sins, become Chrsitians which form the body of Christ that becomes, in the end the bride of Jesus.

The Christian Church is the bride that is preparing herself for the arrival of the groom, who is Jesus through the study of God's word and obedience to that word daily. There is scripture that backs this up....

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 21:9-10 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

So the purpose of life, is to be the best you can be, and live according to the word of God. Accept Jesus as your savior, who suffered a horrible death so you can have eternal life with Him in heaven.

God could have put together an already perfect group of people to become Jesus bride, but where is the joy in a fabricated ready made bride?

Would you want to have a wife picked out for you, that was forced to become your wife, and they hated you,and despised being with you for eternity? Or would you want someone who willingly choose to be with you because they loved you beyond measure, and wanted to be with you, and love you freely for all eternity? God wants the best and only those who from the depts of their heart who truly want to be with His son Jesus for all eternitiy.

What a beautiful union that will be, and I am going to be a part of that union. Praise the Lord!!! All those trials in life and the relationship we develope with Jesus while we are here on earth is what bonds us with Jesus and draws us closer with Him. It's a beautiful relationship.

There is no point. But the myth makers from ancient times made up stories to explain what they did not understand. And you silly people still believe this crap in the 21st century.
