my pups are 3 days old and and before they were even 24 hours old the mother bit them and i had to take them to the vet to get stitched up.
one of the pups bite wound was on the chest area and the vet said they were worried because they didn't know how deep it was (it looks pretty deep)so she didn't stitch it up because of that. now that wound looks gross like a greenish brown color and it stinks real bad, what can i do for it i don't want the puppy to die.

The wound is infected and that maybe another reason why they did not stitch it up...it needs to heal from the inside out...
I would take it to the vet as soon as possible but till then you need to clean out the wound with some sterile gauze and then put some neosporin in the wound and bandage it up so the medicine will stay in there...it will ooze for awhile because of the infection...the vet can give you some antibiotics to give your puppy. Hang in hon...I learned this from my dad of all things...he had a very deep wound from gall bladder surgery and we did this for him till it healed.

It's been a month, if they didn't get the injections already it's too late for them to even do any good and they're painful so why put the kid through that. If they already got the injections I'd offer to pay half of the bill. You're actually lucky I've heard of people trying to get an animal tested for rabies after a bite, the only way to do that is to put the animal down and cut into it's brain. People are stupid and unfortunately paying for these injections is a small price to pay for your puppy's sake, dog bite cases can get nasty if a child's involved even if it's nothing. I'd offer to pay half see if they go for it if not pay the full price because they can make your life and your puppy's life a living hell. I would however state to the parents that their child is not to come on your property again. It sucks but some people are stupid and the rest of us have to deal with them. Good luck.

It has an infection and will most likely die if not treated. Try to find the money, or maybe call the vet and ask him to give you some antibiotics. If the vet knows you, he will probably give you the meds without seeing the dog. Good luck. Did they not give you antibiotics for the pups when they were at the vets?

Get a sterile cotton ball and soak it with hydrogen peroxide and let it biol out the wound a few seconds, then get another sterile cotton ball and clean it good.Do this several times daily. Then put an antibiotic ointment on it,perferably neosporin.,or maybe some idoine,as this will kill any bacteria. The main thing is to keep the wound very clean. This pup will probably also need some amoxie drops, just call the vet and tell him you need an antibiotic to give this pup for the wound they failed to sew up on your last visit.I'm sure they will only charge you for the antibiotic and not a visit.

Keep the wound clean with warm water and make sure the puppy gets enough food and water. Do not let the puppy bite at it's own wound. It should begin to heal up soon. You could get a gauze wrap or cloth bandage to wrap around the chest. Wrap it lightly, just enough to cover the wound to keep it clean. Change the bandage every 6-8 hours. Keep in regular contact with the veterinarian and keep that puppy away from it's mom unless she is nursing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your puppy. Good luck!

Take it back to the vet you took them to before. They should fix that at no charge since they did nothing to begin with. Sadly, it might be infected too bad to heal and might not give the dog a fighting chance to live. So they might have to euthanize it. Good luck. If you do have ANY money left, I'd suggest taking it to the emergency vet clinic. Your animal is probably in a lot of pain.

I would get it back to the vet immediately. Sounds like gangrene... (ew!) ..poor thing. In the meantime, make sure it stays warm, is at least hydrated and not in too much discomfort. That kind of wound in probably going to need oral antibiotics in addition to some serious anitibiotic ointments... but once again, your vet knows best... get there quick!
Do not attempt to put cream on it or 'clean it out' because then you stand a good chance of pushing the "infection" in even further.
You need to be aware that as this infection invades the pup's blood, it WILL kill it, very painfully and very quickly. It's not pretty. Please go to a vet.

I would rinse the wound with liquid chlorophyll and then put propolis on and in the wound. I did this to my Mastiff and also added vitamin E. The vet was amazed because there was nothing more he could do for her. He couldn't believe she was whole again. She had a big wound with staph throughout.
