I would say evolution is the biggest con of all time. In 100 years people will laugh at how ignorant our generation was about that especially since it has been thoroughly debunked already and its still being taught.

it does attract con men lots of evidence of that but the message in scripture is not a con. None of the authors made a dime off their writtings. I can say that with absolute certainty cuz at that time there were no dimes to drop on a con artist. if you drift my git

Not really. Even in the apostle Paul's day (the early church), unbelievers used the Christian religion to gain monetarily. Paul warned of it very early on. It's too bad that scheming men will use the good name of God to do the work of the devil.

Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Religions are pretty bad but that doesn't mean you shouldn't seek out God in your own heart. God says no one mocks Him. Those "con men" will reap their reward.
