A month ago, I dyed my naturally medium brown hair a dark auburn with permanent hair dye. I hate the red hair on me and wish to dye my hair a dark brown using permanent hair dye like before. How long do I have to wait to dye my hair again?

The average of most of those at-home hair dying kids say '4-5 weeks' but obviously the longer you wait the better. Since you'd be dying your hair darker, technically thats better since bleaches or any lighter shades tend to do more damage to your hair. I've been using Loreal shades for a long time and they've always come out pretty natural looking. The big key is to keep your hair hydrated afterwards. Ive always like Avedas leave in conditioners and conditioners in general. And Redken makes the best smelling leave in type conditioner called Anti-Snap that you can put on the ends of your hair after you shower. It's about $20 but it lasts a long time and it's totally worth it! Anywho, good luck with whatever you choose to do!

I usually wait till I see that my hair is looking that color of dry hair like an red w/ orangish tint, sorta like fading or lightning up all over. Then i dye it again. It will change all over in time and u will know! Wait as long as u can.i estimate every 2 1/2 months to 3 1/2 months.

Just wait about 3 weeks and you should be fine i think it says on the hair dye box that you should wait 3-4 weeks to change it.

You might want to ask your stylist about putting some lowlights in your hair, to lessen the red. Unlike highlights, lowlights don't use bleach, so it won't damage your hair and you should be able to get your hair back to a shade you'll be comfortable with until you can dye it back.

I would wait a good month just to be safe. My aunt had a dying hair addiction and it ended up in her losing some hair..wasn't pretty.

You need to wait until the hair starts to grow out. I get streaks and she will only streak the area with no color. When you re-die hair it get brittle and breaks

to be absolutely safe.....wait at least two more weeks.. If you color your hair too soon, it can cause serious damage to your hair.

The safest amount of time is at least 6 weeks between coloring

for me it depends in the girl. Like I might notice a girl with black hair and think she is totally hot yet see a girl with blond tresses that is meh and vice versa.
