If the earth is 6000 years old then the continents must be near to where they are now. The earth could not have been one continent because it is scientifically proven that it would take much much much longer than 6000 years for the earth to turn from one continent to what it is now. So did the animals fly across the ocean? or did god reach down and move them himselves?

He didn't.

It is a cute story for children.

Not an accurate historical account of anything.

And not even original.

The story was taken from Gilgamesh, an old Sumerian folk tale that is much older than the Bible.

Before the Great Flood, the earth was very different than what it is now. Genesis 2:5-7 states:
"and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, 6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground...."
This meant that not only the climate but the land and sea were probably much different than they are now. Also, after the waters settled, the continents would be as we now know them.

Also, the person above who spoke of the Sumerian Gilgamesh Epic - How do you know that Utnapshtim (who Gilgamesh spoke to who was a survivor of a Great Flood) was not Noah or one of his sons? Almost every civilization has a story of a Great Flood.

The Bible says that God caused the animals to come. Scientist (that believe in a young earth) nor anyone else, do not know what the pre-flood earth looked like. All the continents are connected right now under the ocean. There is dirt under that water. There may not have been any mountains then either. If sea level could drop just a little, you could walk from Alaska to China, from Florida to Cuba. It may not have been a problem to go from one continent to another. There have been several ancient seaports discovered in fairly deep water. Just drop the water level to expose those old ports and you may be surprised just how far one could go on foot.

I do not know where you get 6000 years but god gave Noah the power over the animals so when time came the animals came by twos. An the earth is millions of years old

The Earth WAS once one continent. Why else would all the continents fit together perfectly. It wasn't only 6,000 years that the Earth formed into different continents and if it was something, like many earthquakes and tectonic plate shifts could move them in that amount of time. I'm pretty sure that Noah had help from God and his wife. You just have to believe and some things can't be answered you just have to have FAITH.

The question shouldn't be how did all the animals get to Noah, the question should be how did all the flightless birds get to where they live today after the boat "landed" and what did they do with all the poo and how did Noah keep the carnivores from wiping out entire species of animals while on the trip?

the earth WAS all one spot of land back then. You say it is scientifically proven, well maybe by non-believing scientists. And the earth is way younger than 6,000 years more like 4,000.God is smater a scientist than any other so just because a scientist says so doesnt mean it is true. And God with His spirit told all the animals to go to Noah.God is all-powerful therefore all the animals listened

and the earth is NOT millions of years old.

The earth is not 6000 years old... only the dumb and ignorant believe that. The story of Noah in the bible is a plagiarized tale, and it's part fiction, part mythology.

Silly silly question. Everyone knows that Noah had the help of alien spacecraft to collect all those animals and that it was those same interfering aliens that broke up Pangia (and probably the Beatles).
