I found half a vitamin B upstairs which also contains C, E, zinc and copper. So for half a pill it would contain as follows:
B1...5 mg
B2...5 mg
B6...2.5 mg
B12...6 mcg
Vitamin C....250mg (I know this is okay because the vet said I should give her vitamin C)
Vitamin E...15 IU
Zinc...14 mg
Copper ...1.5 mg (I know copper is toxic for dogs but is this amount going to hurt?)

The dog is a 10 month old golden retriever about 65 pounds. She might also have gotten a vitamin D...1000 UI. If there is a problem what should I look for. By the way, the B pill says it's for stress and she has been quite calm this evening.

Although the best vitamins are from the vet for your pet,I do give my pets childrens vitamins,or one a day vitamins when they are recovering from stress/one,s i have rescued, had to worm etc one that was pregnant, with a litter of pups..the vitamins good food seemed to help ,vet does not disagree with this ! But know they can be overdosed as well ,I WOULD GIVE HERE A RAW EGG NOW AND TOMARROW keep an eye on her and her bowel movement in the next few hours..

If you have already talked to the vet and it seems like she is not having any problems then she should be ok...she is big enough that it should not hurt her but I would make sure that she cannot get to them again...you do not want to go through all this worry all over again, ya know?
PS I forgot to mention that I have a golden retriever also...she is a very sturdy dog and from my experience with Sunshine, I think she will be just fine...
BTW Golden Retriever's are one of my favorite dog breeds ever! Sunshine has the best disposition of any dog that I have been around...such a joy!

Put all medications and vitamins up high.

Your dog (puppy) should be fine if she only ingested 1/2 a vitamin. She probably found it wasn't very tasty. She was probably bored, which is why she got into your stuff.

Call an ER and ask if you should induce vomiting or not. they will tell you signs of distress to watch for.

well now u know what to give her if she gets too hyper. the vitamins definately won't hurt her unless she just stoo many at one time and chokes. so, in the future try to keep stuff like that out of her reach. go get a book called marley and me, it is a very good read about the life of a gold lab and his master.good luck

You can buy vitamins for dogs at pet stores. I'd talk to my vet in a case like this, but I don't think it's a problem.
