How does that make you feel? Assuming you can't help me in this life, would you feel guilty in the next life that I'm down there burning? Would you ask God to pull me out? Why, Why not?

OK i know you don't know me personally, I meant me as a representative of every non-christian, I could be your atheist neighbour, or hindu best mate, or muslim work colleague, or buddhist father etc. etc. you get the idea.

OK its a slight;ly different point, but it really annoys me when people say: 'if you reject jesus then you choose the devil'. If faced with the certainty that the two exist, no one in their right mind would choose a being whose sole purpose in life is to torture and harm you.

Back in the old days, outside of the walls of the cities, they discarded and burnt their trash. This included dead persons that committed serious crimes. They never burnt persons that were alive and made them suffer. The bible does not teach going to a place of suffering. It is symbolic for total destruction.
Besides regarding non christians, many people have not had the opportunity to know or make a decision about the sacerfice Jesus had made. Those persons in the bible are un-righteous. They have an opportunity to be resurrected. So your view of what the bible really teaches is incorrect. But if you do study the bible you can make a decision if you want the benefits of living forever. Would it not be unrighteous for God to have persons suffer forever for only a few years of life mistakes??

It depends on what your definition of Hell is. Do I think you'll be sent to a firey pit and poked by a red guy with a pitchfork? No. I believe that the state of Hell is being away from God. Yes, I believe you will be in Hell if you do not accept Christ as your Savior - it says so in the Bible. No, I won't feel guilty about you not going to Heaven - you've had chance after chance to see the truth.

I am a Christian/Buddhist and I DO NOT believe that non-christians will automatically go to hell. That is simply arrogance on the part of Christian zealots.
I believe that if you are kind and help your fellow man, you shall enter the kingdom of heaven.
I couold/would never judge another person's soul...that is up to God!

We all have a choice to go either heaven or hell but it is up to you we cannot do it for you. Salvation in Jesus Christ and trust him as your savior of life is the only true way to heaven and total eternity of life.

i do not position self assurance in "Biblical inerrancy" and yet many non-Christians label me as a "fundie" and "evangelical. I take a marginally tutorial/scholarly frame of mind to the Bible. in spite of the indisputable fact that, notwithstanding if I were to take a thoroughly literal view of the completed Bible (inclusive of the e book of Revelation) I nonetheless couldn't justify the idea in an eternal torture chamber. The wages of sin is lack of existence. The lake of fireplace is the "2d lack of existence" the position lack of existence and Hades are destroyed continuously. it really is why an "eternal hell" doesn't make experience. The soul hasn't ever been certain eternal existence. it really is why Jesus got here...to furnish us eternal existence (John 3:16). Even eternal torment in hell remains eternal existence.

Christians don't wish for people to go to hell, it is their choice and theirs alone. Revelation 21:8 will tell you who all is going there, also Revelation 20:11-15 are the unsaved dead.

if i could, i'd ask God to pull anyone out, but he won't, for you see, if your'e being logical, think of it this way...
In 'this life' you reject God, so there for you can't accept forgiviness for any wrongs you've commited, so you are dirty. When you get to heaven, you wouldn't be able to get to God because you would be burnt by the somewhat abrasive glory of God, for it is so Awesome and Strong.

true christians want to help you now...but many of you (and am not saying you specifically) just laugh at that or don't want help. so what are we supposed to do???
many non christians simply don't understand (from my experience) why christians believe they are going to hell. ochristians are very misunderstood.
people go to hell because they choose hell. christ gave a free gift of salvation. all you have to do is accept it and live according to it. (which can be difficult)
