It sounds like a reasonable question to me. I'd like to know, too.
You seem awfully touchy about your situation. You are looking AT exactly what you are suggesting that everyone else look AWAY from.

Hun, that girl seem so ignorant. You said you have a reddish-yellow skin tone, and I tihnk that is gorgeous. Dont listen to her. dont let her make you feel bad. Just be proud and treasure your beauty. Everyone is unique in their own way. That girl was mean and ignorant okay.
Best regards,
Nikia

I agree that was mean but there are just some people out there that think their better than everyone else and they enjoy themselves by putting others down or humiliating them in front of people. You can right away tell that those kinds of people are the ones that have a low self-esteem and think that they can fit in if they make fun of other people.

it was mean i have a friend that has a Way different skin color than me she is like my best friend ever people focus way too much on the color of your skin and no matter what your personality is or they focus on your religion or other beliefs it shouldn't matter this world would be a whole lot better if this didn't happen i bet less people would die because people do kill people because they are different we are all equal and people should think of others as their equal

I wouldn't say tat it was mean, but rather rude. Some people don't have the proper tack to go about asking things when they are curious. I would have just told her thats just the way I am and told her that the color of your skin is fine as is.

You are right. A person's skin tone tells you nothing about them.

ask her to shut up. skin tone so doesn't matter. what matters in a person is their attitude towards others.

Was she being mean-spirited when she asked you?..or was she genuinely curious. I'm the type of person that when I need to know something...I will ask and hopefully not offend. If she was asking you this out of genuine curiosity then no....don't be pissed off.If she asked you with a smirk..then..yeah...she's just being rude.
