He is the son of God.
He came to set people free from the curse of eternal death and seperation from God, our creator. Man seperated himself from God beacuse of free will thats how sin came in the world, Jesus came to pay the price for our sin so we can live through him and have full and abundent life. He went around and told people how to simply live a life that would honor God.

Tell Me About Jesus

Jesus is accepted in a number of different religions as a Major prophet as Mohamed or Buddha. He was a pacifist who believed in Love and forgiveness and tried while alive to get people to think differently about how they behaved. He concentrated on psychological and spiritual well-being and clearly said that this was much more important than anything material. His name has become corrupted by war and greed over many centuries because his disciples forgot the cardinal rule that thought cannot be imprisoned and so built a religion that has many forms mostly not applying his basic principles. No-one who calls themselves a follower of Jesus Christ or a christion, can justly sanction murder or war, nor actively permit innocents and children to be killed for any purpose. Nor can they ever set themselves in judgement over others as they remain imperfect themselves and always will be. Judgement is according to Jesus the province of God not man. From this you will gather that his word has been interpreted in ways that have taken it a very long way from what he believed. We live in an increasingly judgemental and greedy society that creates intolerance of any form of difference and a sense of fear in the world. Jesus was a Holy man and if there is a second coming as people seem to believe the he will find the Money-lenders and soldiers, criminals of every kind have taken over. Reckon he is likely to be more than a little miffed don't you? This is the man who it is claimed died on behalf of the human race to assuage our sins and give us a new start. I don't think that history has done him proud but I would like to see a change back to his basic beliefs begin again. After all, religions come and go but a sound idea/philosophy will carry merit through eternity. Lastly, he believed that humans were potentially perfectable so try and be optimistic, whether he was actually who we believe him to be or whether it turns out he was altogether different, the thoughts left to us have very real purpose and meaning.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is God.

For God so loved the world hat He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

There are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament regarding Jesus, the facts about where, to whom He would be born, how He would die and that He would raise again from death 3 days later and about His second coming, (which hasn't happened yet). The New Testament tells of His life, the miracles He performed while here, and what will happen in the future.

I hope you get a chance to study the bible for yourself. Ask questions and check answers against the Word of God.

He died on the cross to pay the penalty for sin. Every one has sinned so every one needs their sin paid for. Salvation through Jesus means eternal life in Heaven. Not receiving that salvation means eternal separation from God in hell.

Jesus was at creation with God and after He ascended into heaven He left His Holy Spirit to dwell with believers.

If you have other questions please feel free to email me.

& with all respect to "freedomdancer99" The bible doesn't say what day Jesus was born, but it most likely wasn't December 25th.- Peace.

Jesus is the very Son of God and IS God Himself. His Father - God - sent Him here to teach us about God and life and what it means to have a relationship with our Creator. He came and lived among us about 2,000 years ago, fulfilling more than 300 Old Testament prophesies. People started following Him and wanting to be with Him all the time.

Jesus came to start a new covenant (agreement/contract) between God and man (men and women). He lived a sinless life, worked many miracles, taught about God and His coming kingdom, and gave His life to suffer the death we ALL deserve - not only dying in a most painful fashion, but suffering the very wrath of God as the sins of ALL mankind - past, present, and future - were placed upon Him. By His death, He paid the price for ALL our sins.

Three days after this, He rose from the dead. His Father had told Him He could and so He did. His followers were ecstatic at this, of course...! Some weeks later, He went back to heaven. But, He sent the Holy Spirit - God - to be with us until we die and go to be with Him or Jesus Himself returns.

This is simply an overview and many details have been left out... My advice to you is to begin reading the Bible and praying for God to reveal Himself and His plan to you. Start in the Gospel of John and read Acts of the Apostles. John will give you plenty of information on the life and times of Jesus and Acts describes the early beginnings of the kingdom of God.

Jesus is God's Son. Jesus was there at the creation and throughout everything. He came to earth as a mortal man to show us how we should conduct ourselves and for our salvation. He made it possible for all men and women to be saved by his sacrifice. Jesus is the only authority for us to talk with God Almighty. Jesus is part of the Trinity. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and Jesus is God. I know it's difficult to understand until you discover that God is capable of everything. God loves you and wants you with him throughout eternity. All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Savior and your Messiah. Ask for God's forgiveness and through Jesus you will be saved and born again.

When I was in college ( in California) and had to write a paper on Jesus, I went to all the student and ask them "is Jesus God?" All the students were confused by the question, except the Catholics who said yes. My interpretation is, Jesus has to be a manifestation of God,or Christianity would no longer be a considered a monotheistic religion. Also I saw on a bumper sticker 5 years ago. Jesus is god. Read the #$%! Bible.

He is God's only begotten son and the only mediator between God and man. He was called the 2nd Adam in the Bible because he came here to sacrifice himself as a father would to save the lives of his children. Anyone who follows him can be his child and can have life through him even though they are condemned to death for the sin they have inherited through Adam and Eve. Want to know more? E-mail me.

I am still very new to my faith, but I can tell you, is that Jesus is the true Messiah, Son of the One True God, who died and suffered for our sins. He accepts any who will ask for his grace and will never turn anyone away. He loves us in a perfect pure love, unconditionally.

He preached love and kindness, that we should forgive those who sinned against us over and over again.

He preached to love our neighbors the way that we love ourselves.

He will reward the tired, the hungry, the meek, the poor, the wounded, the sorrowful in the afterlife.

All those that seek his mercy shall have it.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish; but have everlasting life.
