I feel in my opinion, that it's not a good idea to date friends siblings. I think it's best to stay away or avoid situations like these. When something goes wrong, believe me, you and your best friend might not feel like you are truly friends anymore. The pressure of the relationship will weight down on you because, you will always try to make sure you don't make him made, nor make his sister mad. Then when you get into arguments or fall out, both of them have sides to choose, and they will always choose each other over you, so really think about it. You like him and it's nothing wrong with that, but if you really want to pursue something with him beyond a crush phase, then just be careful, it's not worth falling out with your best friend over if it doesn't exactly work out.

Try hanging out and chatting with him more often. Maybe he doesn't know a lot about you and if you become friends with him he might let you know.
