Well, you can get diabetes if your diet includes too much sugar (there's some sugar in beer); you can get heart disease if you don't exercise and eat a balanced diet; you can get sclerosis of the liver from drinking too much booze.
Of course, all of these imply ABUSE of alcohol and an unbalanced lifestyle. Make sure you exercise and have a decent diet. The odd beer (or three) ain't gonna kill ya, if you know what I mean. Drink two six-packs a day and it might be a different story.

Liver disease. Cirrhosis of the liver. Takes alot of beer but it or any other alcohol will do it if you drink too much. You'll know you have it when you look in the mirror and your eyes are yellow.

yes that would be alcoholism which can cause a memory disorder called korsakoffs syndrome, caused by decreased amount of vitamin b1, (thiamine). it is horrible 2 see. i worked in a nursing home 4 12 years and had a patient with this disorder. i suggest u google this subject and it will explain this syndrome and why it occurs. it also causes cirrhosis of the liver, which can cause complications, like acites, which is a condition where the abdomen fills up with fluid, and the abdomen becomes distended, ( huge). it is not pretty 2 see. a horrible uncomfortable death, with much suffering.

Yeah, cirrhosis of the liver. I knew a guy who drank a least a 12 pack daily from age 18 and died at 36. Bad way to go.

Alcoholism, cirrhosis of the liver, alcohol poisoning are just to name a few. Both of my grandfathers' died from alcoholism, now I have a brother who is troubled with it! Just don't do it! Occasionally is fine but if you are constantly craving alcohol then I would recommend help ASAP!!!

Liver problems mainly. It's a painful death because your pain tolerance is so low by the time you're on your death bed (with alcoholism, that is).

the abuse of alcohol may cause hepatitis, cirrhosis, alcohol addiction, depression, kidney failure, social reject, hypoglicemic shock, mental impairment, loss of reflexes, etc... so, now that you know the possible consequences, it is recommended to control the ingestion of alcohol or any other drug.
