I love that movie. I think it was Sylvester Stallone's best, even better than Cliff Hanger and the Rocky Series.

As for living in a Big Brother society, you should definitely worry but you aren't the only one. We (here in the United States) are in a similiar situation. But UK is definitely worse than we are (yet). V for Vendetta is a better example of what is going on. The rulers are becoming totalitarian. Whatever we have today (in the UK and the US) is definitely not democracy. It is more like rule by a handful few who think that they are better than others and they know what is better for everyone. We here had federal agents pull put a 14-year old girl from school and interrogated because she wrote "I hate Bush" on her myspace account. Today, in my state, it was just announced that kids in Elementary school (class grades 1-5) will actually be fingerprinted. I am sure that little kids in KG classes are a real national security threat and BUSH feels that he needs to protect himself from them.

Those people who tell you not to worry are either lying outright in your face or have something to gain from this (such as politicians who will/are rule over you). Damn it, I for one am not taking this lightly. If anything, just think of your forefathers who fought and died for these freedoms. This reminds us that we take these freedoms and ideas for granted and we will only value them once we have lost them. Our forefathers have done their part and now it is our turn to fight and protect them.

Remember, politicians are your servants. YOU are supposed to elect them to serve you, not the other way. If they try to convince you to not to worry because you are a "good" person, then ask them who defines what is "good". Who decides whether you have been "good" or not?

You'v only got to watch crimewatch to see the benefits of cctv , the cameras cant protect us from crime because they only record but they do serve a good purpose in bringing criminals to justice , nobody objects to the thousands of other shoppers or whatever watching us walk down the street so why object to one more person watching on camera , they are there to help protect us from the ever increasing tide of crime and terrorrism , and yes i agree that it's only the criminals that have something to fear !

I think the system is beginning to assume everyone is guilty until proven innocent. I despair of the system.
