Eat very light the last meal of the day before you go to sleep. That's what hubby and I do and we are slim. We do splurge on the weekends but don't gain wait from it. Good luck.

Here's what's worked for me (I dropped the freshman 15 instead of gaining it when I started college):
1) Cut out the sodas. This one's hard, I know, but it makes a huge difference. Those things are packed with calories and no nutrients.
2) Go easy on the juice. Juice is also loaded with calories. They do have vitamins, but you'll do a lot better eating the vitamins, because then your body will burn calories by digesting the food.
3) Make frappacinos/smoothies a rare treat. Once again, an amazingly high and useless source of calories--and a place most people don't realize they're costing themselves. Hint: dieticians tell people who are underweight to drink smoothies because they put on the pounds!
4) Make walking part of your lifestyle. You don't have to be wearing sweats to exercise! Use the stairs, park your car further from the office/grocery store. Walking does count as good exercise.
5) Get a work-out buddy. If you're planning to go to the gym regularly (which is a great idea), get a reliable buddy who will bug you if you don't show up at your scheduled times. Carpool. I know two women who never gave each other their phone numbers so that they couldn't call ahead to say "I can't make it" just because they didn't want to go that day. A dog who needs to be walked/run constantly also counts as a great work-out buddy. :)
Those are my top 5 tips. Hope they help, and good luck! Go easy, not drastic, because that produces more long-lasting results.

a healthy way of eating including High Fiber - Bran, fruits vegetables, fiber is anything that you do not digest.
Omega 3 fatty acids 25-30 grams - found in fish, eggs, sometimes wholegrain breads - not multi-grain breads
Probiotic - puts heathly bacteria in your intestines. You can eat yogurt or they also make drinks in the yogurt section.
Eznymes - found in natural foods.
Avoid a lot of processed foods, especially foods with hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils.
If you are new to exercise, start slow. Try to exercise with a few different friends. It helps sometimes to have a purpose when you exercise. Walk to the store to pick up a little something or to visit a friend, drop a neighbor a card.
You must get your heart rate up.
Lastly, you need to do some strength training. Muscle burns more calories at rest.
Make a social event, use music, make the time enjoyable.

Try the Fasting Diet. You select one day per week when you eat absolutely nothing. You only drink water (at least 80 oz. is recommended). By taking this fast, you reduce your weekly consumption of food by approximately 15%. You eat normally, for the other six days.
The beauty of this diet is that you have nothing to count, weigh, or avoid. You usually don't play catch-up, when breaking your fast, so it is a very effective (and cleansing) diet. In addition to weight loss, there is also a heightened sense of awareness and sensory improvement (such as touch, taste, and smell).
The book I'd suggest you read is: "The Fasting Diet" by Steven Bailey, N.D. Check your library or search Amazon.com.
Good luck!

there are a lot -
First - burn more calories than you consume
Second - Exercise to your target heart rate - at least 30 min every other day. Preferably 45 min per day
Third - cut the fat and red meat. Eat only turkey, fish, and chicken. Eat more high fiber foods and more veggies.
Fourth - No more fast food and especially no more soda. Not even diet soda.
I've lost 50 lbs in five months eating only 4 oz of lean meat per meal, 2 1/2 cups of steamed or raw veggies and 1/2 cup of natural carbs (baked or boiled potato, steamed rice, etc).
Send me an email if you want more meal tips...

Yes. Drink lots of water, & start each day with a glass of water. Exercise of course. Curves has a wonderful program, & it's enjoyable. Of course, you have to be careful with your diet. Be patient with your progress. Don't loose weight quickly; it's not so good for your body to adjust. Don't sit a lot watching television or playing on computer. Eat peanut butter every day, which will help you loose ten pounds in a year. I wish you well. FYI--A diet is anything that one eats, so every one is on a diet. The question is "Which kind?"

Just don't eat so much - and eat small portions. Make sure you eat lots of veggies & lay off the noodles & things like that.
I wish I could gain weight - so I can't really help you in this dept. but what I put down sounds like good weight loss help. Also- I've heard that Weight Watcher's is pretty good. And according to Kirstie Allie - Jenny Craig is pretty good.

Exercise, eat less, and eat healthy. Try eating fruits and vegtables, if you want to go on a diet there is this great diet, weight watchers, and you buy a book. an apple is one point, a bag of chips is 3 points, .... and you decide how much points you want in a day.

The best way to get off fat is to address the root problem - cleansing. I was overweight, at about 215lbs. The fat around my abs never came off, with lots and lots of cardio and dieting. I tried a great whole body cleansing and nutritional system, and I lost 30 pounds of belly fat in less than 2 months. I've kept it off for well over a year now. email me if you want to know the system i used. aaronb05@sbcglobal.net
