Wiccans what would you do...?

...if there was a serial killer loose in your nieghborhood.

You have three different choices to choose from:

A. You do nothing

B. You do a protection spell on your family and house.

C. You use a curse to get him caught.

D. You use a curse to kill him.

You know who the killer is. You saw him on the news and they police are looking for him. You are not the killer. Does that help?

b. a protection spell and C a catch spell. Because of the three fold law, Wiccas can't harm others. I will protect my friends and family. I will do something. Wiccans aren't uncaring.

You already said this is a game and a trick question, but I am better at real life so in real life since I know who the killer is, I would do none of the above, I would call police and give them the information they need to catch the killer.

Besides you said we have three choices, but a-b-c and d is four choices.

As a Wiccan I put a protective shield around my house everyday and I do not use curses at all, that is against the wiccan rede. The only logical ADULT decision is to turn them in. I say adult because 54 year old adult men think differently than teenagers. Nothing wrong with that , it is just the way it is. I do not think like I did when I was a teenager.

Let's look at your choices.

A. You do nothing

If you have ability, this is a knowingly "harmful" action. Depending on who the serial killer is targeting, you could be putting yourself and many others in danger. So "no" to this response.

B. You do a protection spell on your family and house.

Absolutely! I would want to do everything in my power to protect me and mine. But, as with all Wiccan work, the "no harm" caveat must be in place. Also the "greater good."

C. You use a curse to get him caught.

I personally do not like curses. They have a rather huge tendency to be vengeful in nature. This is not the Wiccan Way. Instead, I would work a specific piece of Magik that would entrap this individual but done in such a way so that no harm would come to him and no harm would come to those doing the entrapping. Also, I would "check in." This is a MUST before you do any Magik. You do not know going in what ALL the conditions are for this person being and doing what they are doing. Consequently, YOU might think you are doing something positive for yourself and your community but could, instead, be working against the intent of the Gods.

D. You use a curse to kill him.

No. Period. No one has the right to harm anyone unless you have been specifically "charged" to do so. And even then, I would check and recheck, many, many times before doing such an action. I would have to be 100% certain that this is the intent of the Gods otherwise I would be putting my own life and karma in jeopardy.

The only time I've deliberately done harm to another was not simply as a result of this person doing harm to me. In fact, I was planning to let it go until that "charge" was made painfully apparent. Even then, the work that I was charged to do was done in such a way as no physical harm was done. Instead, the "means" by which this person was defrauding others, was permanently removed from them. They were not harmed. Only their means of harming others was impacted.

To work Magik, it is important to understand intent. Even then, you must be careful each and every step of the way, otherwise risk harm to yourself and others.

A trick question huh? Well i would do really none of the above - just make sure i have the .38 special handy if they showed their face around me or mine.

if someone is a killer themselves they have already gone outside any rede or rules and i would not hesitate to give them an extra orifice right between the eyes - my guardian spirit gives me a pretty steady hand.

Then i walk somewhat outside the normal Wiccan path.
