Endocytosis the soluble molecules are taken up from outside the cell through the formation of vesicles. The membrane folds around material outside the cell, resulting in the formation of a saclike vesicle into which the material is incorporated. This vesicle is then pinched off from the cell surface so that it lies within the cell.
Exocytosis is exactly the OPPOSITE in which The cellular secretion of macromolecules by the fusion of vesicles with the plasma membrane.
They are antonyms.

In a)phagocytosis is something that a white blood cell does to a bacteria (i.e. engulf it to destroy it...so that's not opposite.
In b) hot and cold are OPPOSITE meanings and are antonyms.
In c) a white blood cell will phagocytos a bacteria but once again, that they aren't opposite in meaning.
In d) phagocytosis and engulfing are the same definition, i.e. synonyms and thus are not the answer.
