Yes, I do! I'm a 47 year old mother of two. You are 16 and I think that you are old enough to choose the time you go to bed. As for going out in the evenings, I would still call the shots though, but I'd say if I knew where you were going, who you were with and you were trustworthy then 11.30pm would be fine if it's not on a school night.
If you like you can show this answer to your parents. Maybe you can all compromise together.
Good luck.

It depends on your schedule. If you're involved in a lot of activities then it's understandable. Plus, maybe he just wants to actually be well rested for school. You're lucky it's 9, cuz some people have to go to bed at 7 and they're YOUR age.
Either go to bed early and actually be well rested so you can be alert and focused in life-or go to bed late and be yawning through out the day. It's your choice.

It sounds a bit early for a weekend night, but depending on what time you get up for school in the morning it may be perfectly reasonable for school days. Studies show that teenagers need more sleep than adults and younger kids. (Sorry, I don't have the source for that study... I just remember it.)
Can you at least read in bed if you're not sleepy?

Sweetie,
I know that you hate it now, the rules that your parents make you live by, but one day you will appreciate it so much that they care enough to make rules for you. I have worked at a low income school for 22 years and you would not believe the young people that would swap places with you. So please just hang in there and be patient. Enjoy your young years. Remember your parents were once your age.

Yea, I do think it's unfair. But if I were you, try to pretend you are going to bed and instead do something else, maybe sneak out of the house?

That does seems somewhat early for your age. During school days I would say by 10:30 would be reasonable..and the weekeneds..well..it should be whenever you want...(I don't mean being out all night..you asked about bed time..tht's all I am talking about. I would not think it was safe for you to be out all night!)
