don't get flash. if your koi is already flash, go to an actual tattoo artist to create an original piece to add to your existing work. there is nothing worse than having the exact same tattoo as hundreds of other people. but as far as what else to put? japanese style water. a dragon. something with the same theme. i would suggest going to someone who specializes in japanese style tattooing, it makes a difference.

want a full sleeve ? nice . well i don't think there is a meaning concerning where you choose to put your tattoo. i'd say wherever your tattoo feels home on your body... cheers and good luck . EDIT : stevie is right !! go for both !! oh and btw i'm getting mine on my right arm :) ) EDIT 2 : well in june i'm scheduled with my TA to start my 3/4 sleeve, sleeve that will be on my right arm !! :) how many sittings ?? depends on the artist, amount of detail, color, the design itself and the time spent.. let's say one or 2 sittings for all the outlines then maybe another 2-5 for the filling, shading and detail...

Make sure you dont stray from your japanese theme also dont clutter your arm.Dragons are your best bet for a Chest/Bicep peice find a really good artist dont worry bout the cost i pay my artist £50 an hour for 4/7hour sittings.Try and find a Dragons head you like then doodle on it customize it a bit till your happy then give it to your artist and ask him to freehand the body this way its custom so nobody will have the same.Try make the Dragon or whatever your main peice in bright color and maybe suround it with greyscale waves or clouds or a mix.At the end of the day you want something BIG that can be seen from a distance try the links below for your ideaz good luck mate.

i think having a full arm piece is wicked! like some one else has said deffently stick with a japenense theme you dont want random thinkgs all over you arm its all got to work together! i sat next to a bloke on a plane who had a japensese theme on his arm he had a picture of those buildings they have with those funny shaped roofs! it may sound wierd but the shading was amazing and it really worked with all the other designs on his arm! i think you need to go into the tattooist and look thru their books and just take ideas from there! deffently keep it orginal though!

yea man dont clutter your arm. dont make it look as rubbish as kaledonioi's tattoo sleeve. started off nice unitl he started putting a load of clutter in it.

Also he pays the tattoist £50 per our and he will only do 4 hours at a time. He has only been to this tattoist for one tattoo.

I love the koy fish tattoo's, I want to get one. They are very popular and most of the tattoo sites have them. Maybe you could look at the tattoo flash sites and pick and choose from the different ones to make yours different.

I would keep with the oriental theme so it works together. And if I were you I'd go to the tattoo artist, see what he recommends or what he can work around it that would flow with it.

You should get some more japanese art. Maybe you should get a Samurai. Those are amazing. You could get a dragon, too. Those would mix well.

check out http://www.medicalbodyart.org there is a huge flash gallery, probably one of the biggest on the net. You should get some good ideas there.
