I have natural blonde hair, it's actually very blonde. I have had copper colored highlights and they wash in after a few days. I would like to dye my hair a light to dark brown, what can I do to get the color to last so it doesn't wash out?

make sure it's PERMANENT. it should say in the box. It might be temporary or semi-permanent. I'd suggest you check.

You need put a filler in before you colour it darker. Condition it really well as when hair is overcolored it's like a sponge and won't absorb any more colour. It would be good if you went to a professional who used a filler first and then coloured it. It would last longer and you won't have mistakes. Stay away from ash based colours as they will make your hair greenish.
