Make sure that you're using sugar free mints - ones with sugar will freshen your breath for a little while but will end up making your breath worse. You should go to see your dentist or your doctor as you could have some other issue going on. The previous answers listed out many possibilities.

Halitosis-you are in good company though Clark Gable was said to have breath that could peel paint- The good news is there are treatments-try ThereBreath-its natural and it targets the bacteria that causes this odor-usually correcting it entirely in about 5-7 applications, regular use keeps it at bay. Found this after my child had throat surgery and it works great! Good Luck!!

Transient bad breath is a very common temporary condition caused by such things as oral dryness, stress, hunger (ketosis), eating certain foods such as garlic and onions, smoking, or poor oral hygiene. "Morning breath" is a common example of transient bad breath. Transient bad breath gradually disappears on its own, with the aid of chewing gum or brushing one's teeth. Chronic bad breath is a more serious and persistent condition affecting up to 25% of the population in varying degrees. It can negatively impact the individual's personal and business relationships, leading to poor self-esteem and increased stress. This condition is usually caused by persistent overpopulation of certain types of oral bacteria, primarily streptococcus mutans, and requires specialised treatment. Xerostomia (dry mouth syndrome) will increase bad breath problems.

Fetor hepaticus is a type of severely bad breath caused by chronic liver failure.

It could be from several different things. Some medications may cause bad breath as well as sinus problems. You should consult your dr. and dentist because it may be a sign of some other type of medical condition.

Sometimes it can be due to the tongue, so brush it also. Bad breath can also be related to diet so try and eat a balance diet. Do you smile alot (sometimes if you dont smile, your mouth will hold older and should be ventilated from time to time with a smile)
