I doubt your teeth would move that much to cause them to come out of line. Your teeth are sore because they are used to being "retained" by your retainer. Depending on your orthodontist/dentist, they may replace the first one for a smaller charge, or free. If not it could cost 150-200 or more.

This is strange. When you began orthodontic treatment, your orthodontist likely gave an all inclusive price that included retainer treatment. I suppose the only way that your orthodontist would not give you a retainer is because you did not pay for that part of the treatment. If you did already pay for the treatment, your orthodontist needs to give you a retainer. If he/she refuses, there is probably a good reason for it (i.e. it would not fit or do you any good). However, the problem with your teeth would need to be very severe for that to be the case. Otherwise, your orthodontist needs to give you a retainer in order to hold in place what has already been corrected. There could also be one more explanation for your orthodontist not giving you a retainer. Since you ended treatment early (I did too), the necessity of a retainer might not be present after your braces come off. When I got my braces off about seven months ago, I was given a retainer right away. However, I found it nearly impossible to wear for the full-time that I had been told. For about six of those seven months, I have only been wearing my retainer for 35% of the instructed time with no change in my teeth (I even took pictures of the teeth over the period to verify that there was no shifting). However, do not take my word for it because I do not know if it will stay this way; it is just my hypothesis based on what I have observed.

Your teeth will be ok! But they will move a little. If the dentist or orthodontist has your prior models they can fabricate a new retainer from it and your teeth will go back to the same place there were before losing the retainer.

First off, no, they may shift a little. thats a TINY little. but thiers a small chance of that too. I dont know how much a new one would cost, but it wont be catastrophic. next, try to find it if u can remember where it was last. Dont stress out, just call the orthodontic office and tell them the truth, schedual an appointment, and if u havent found it, go and get urself a new one. Its not as bad as it seems. Dont stress

You'll be okay for the weekend, but I would get a new one. The cost varies depending on your insurance and the dentist.
